One of the many blogosphere truisms you often hear is ‘Write good content and you will get noticed’. While there are many other factors in a blog’s success, it is true that good content is integral. On the other hand, writing good content is not enough to get noticed in and of itself. You’re never going to experience an introductory meteoric rise, just from good content alone.
In my opinion there are two other components, just as important as writing good content, in making your blog successful. First, you have to participate in your blog’s niche community so that people know about your blog. Because after all, if nobody reads a blog, is it really successful? You also have to make your blog readable, because the quickest way to turn off new visitors is with an ugly design. So, with community participation, and a readable design (which is where I come in) you will get noticed.
And of course, you have to write good content.
What do you think? Is writing good content enough or do you need more?
